Laura Musumeci, MS

Postgraduate researcher

I am from Gela in Sicily, and I am a graduating student in Medical, Veterinary, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Parma, where I also earned my bachelor's degree in Biotechnology.

Currently, I am doing my thesis internship at the Systems Medicine Laboratory, where I mainly focus on selectively enriching cell systems with cholesterol intermediates to study their role using the CRISPR-Cas9 strategy.

I am fascinated by the biological mechanisms underlying life and wish to contribute to improving people's quality of life through scientific research. Besides science, I have a great passion for the humanities, including literature, music, and art.
